Bluu Co. (“Bluu,” “we,” “us”), a Colorado business, respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you visit wearbluu.com, join Club Bluu, take the Ocean Lover quiz or create a member profile, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us: first and last name, email address, password (stored securely and never visible to us), your quiz answers and resulting Ocean Lover Type, and your email marketing preference.
Messages: anything you send when you contact us.
Automatically collected: basic technical data such as browser type, device, pages visited and approximate location derived from IP address, used to run and secure the site.

How we use it

To create and run your member account and show your quiz results.
To send your Ocean Lover Type and, if you agree, Bluu news, product drops and Club Bluu invitations.
To respond to you, prevent fraud and spam, keep the site secure and improve it.
To comply with legal obligations.

Where European or UK law applies, we rely on your consent (marketing emails), the performance of our service to you (your account and quiz result), and our legitimate interests (security and improvement).

Marketing emails

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by writing to hello@wearbluu.com. Unsubscribing does not delete your account or quiz result.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us operate, under contract and only for our purposes:

Website hosting, database and account services.
Klaviyo, our email marketing provider.
Professional advisers or authorities when required by law, or as part of a business sale or merger.

Cookies

We use essential storage to keep you signed in and remember quiz progress. We do not currently use advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account or Club Bluu subscription is active, or as long as needed for the purposes above. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado and other US states, the EU, UK and elsewhere), you may have the right to:

Access or get a copy of your information.
Correct or delete it.
Opt out of marketing, sale, sharing or targeted advertising.
Withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing, and data portability.
Appeal our decision, and complain to your local data protection authority.

Email hello@wearbluu.com with your request. We will verify it’s you, respond within the time required by law, and never treat you differently for using your rights. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out where required.

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and your information is processed there. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and secure password storage. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique password.

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know by email or on the site.
